Venice MainStreet receives $12,500 donation from VNWC

The Venice-Nokomis Woman’s Club presented a check for $12,500 to Venice MainStreet’s CEO Kara Morgan at the Club’s April meeting. The funds raised were from the VNWC Fashion Showcase held in February. Venice MainStreet was chosen as this year’s nonprofit recipient for the Club’s annual fundraising event.

The Venice-Nokomis Woman’s Club, one of the oldest not-for-profit civic organizations in the State of Florida, was founded in 1926 by Louella Albee.

MISSION
The objects and aims of the VNWC are to:
• Promote civic and social welfare through fundraising activities
• Provide awards annually to community organizations
• Provide college scholarship opportunities for high school and former high school students
• Share intellectual and cultural programs with the members
